The narrator of my book is Josh and he plays baseball and he is the main character and probably the best one on the team.
The author wants you to feel excited and anxious for what is about to happen next.
The author wants you to feel like you are with the team and to feel the stress of the tournament.

In the book Rivals by Tim Green, the main character Josh got hit in the head with a baseball while playing so then he gets knocked out and has to go to the hospital and then they say that he can play for a while. This reminds me of another book I read that somebody got hurt while playing football and couldn't play for a long time. This also reminds me of me when I was playing soccer and I had gotten hurt because somebody had slid and I tripped and it hurt my leg a lot but in the two books that I read were probably more severe than what had happened to me when I was younger. Most sports books probably have someone getting hurt and how they have to overcome the pain and the struggle and how they get to play the sport that they were doing.

" 'I'm Drew Edinger; I'm staying with a client who lives a few streets away,' Troy's dad said, extendeing his hand even farther until Seth had no choice but to shake it. 'I know who you are. I admire the way you play.' 'I said we don't want you here,' Troy's  mom said, crossing her arms and jutting out her jaw. 'I'm the boy's father' "

This part really stuck out to me because it is very interesting and it is a very important part. It is a important part because Troy's father comes to his house and an Troy is really confused and his mom doesn't want him there.
